Meet the team

Having graduated from Newcastle University, I joined the practice in 2003. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and promote a preventative approach to dental care and help patients achieve a healthy smile! I am a strong believer that you should be comfortable when you see the dentist and have many long-standing patients. After having 3 children I now work part time. Outside of work when I’m not busy running around after the girls I am a keen tennis player.

Fiona graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine with a merit in Dentistry in 1997. During her time there, she also obtained a BSc (Hons) in Dental Sciences. Following this, she completed three years in an NHS general dental practice in Norwich before moving to Australia for four years, where she worked in a private general dental practice. She has been with the Newland team since 2004. Fiona enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is currently completing a postgraduate diploma in endodontic practice at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL.

I have been working as a dentist in the UK for 14 years, working in different practices in Yorkshire. I obtained my Masters degree in Restorative Dentistry from the Leeds Dental Institute. I’m married with two young children and moved to Lincoln 6 years ago. I joined Newland Dental Care in January 2020; I really enjoy working with the team at Newland providing care to my patients. I have an interest in treating anxious and nervous patients and restorative side of dentistry but love all aspects! I am passionate about dentistry and always strive to enhance my skills to provide the best patient care and regularly attend courses and lectures to facilitate this.

"Since graduating in dentistry from 'Barts and the London' University in 2013, I have moved from London to Lincoln and in 2015 achieved my RCSEd. As a healthcare professional I aim to prevent, diagnose and treat oral diseases and problems that affect the mouth and teeth. In addition to helping promote oral health, as part of a team I really enjoy caring for a wide range of patients, providing a patient-centred, friendly and relaxing therapy.

Since moving to Lincoln I have started horse-riding weekly embracing the new and exciting opportunity to develop and enjoy different experiences. I thoroughly enjoy swimming and go regularly to the pool and have in recent years competed and won numerous medals and certificates. I take pleasure in my work and have a keen interest in cosmetic treatments including: white fillings, veneers, crowns, bridges and teeth whitening. I have also completed the first stage of Toxins (Botox) and Dermal Fillers training. I like to use my life gained knowledge, skills, attitudes and understanding of scientific and clinical principles toward the prevention, alleviation and management of oral diseases, to help improve the oral healthcare of the future!"

I've been in the UK for over 20 years, spending a lot of time in East Yorkshire, I've joined the team in Newland in April 2022, I love all aspects of dentistry and very keen on minimally invasive dentistry and a firm believer in a preventative approach. I strive to help patients get the smile they dream of. I'm a keen student and love to do extra courses to help build my knowledge. In the near future I'm hope to do an anti-wrinkle and dermal filler course and a root canal therapy course. When I'm not busy with work, my 3 girls keep my hands full.

I qualified in Athens in 2018 and moved to England soon after. I started my career as a full-time dentist on the NHS with enthusiasm and passion for dentistry and have now been practicing for almost four years. Earlier this year, I started my postgraduate program in endodontology, which has been my field of interest since I was a dental student.

I love encouraging patients to come to the dentist and make them feel comfortable by explaining well before I treat them. I joined Newland Dental Care, because I believe it offers patients outstanding dental care at the highest standards.

In my free time I enjoy travelling and exploring new places.

Elena is committed to continuing her education and has achieved several qualifications throughout her career. In 2013, she completed a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at Warwick University. Additionally, in 2023, Elena graduated with Distinction from King's College of London - Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics.

Her extensive training in endodontics allows her take on referrals from colleagues within the practice and also from other practices.

Elena has a calm and empathetic approach when treating her patients, which puts them at ease and makes their experience as comfortable as possible. Her patients appreciate her gentle approach and her ability to explain complex procedures in a way that is easy to understand.

Outside of work, Elena enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring new cultures. She is also an avid reader and enjoys keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry.

Dr Diosdado completed his Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from the University of Salamanca in 2015. Following his graduation, he practiced general dentistry until pursuing additional training in Oral Surgery at the University of Seville. After completion of his Masters in 2019, Dr Diosdado moved to the UK in order to work as a dentist specialised in oral surgery. Dr Diosdado still practices the full scope of oral surgery in Spain as well. Dr Diosdado provides a wide range of treatments such as surgical extractions and implant here at Newland Dental Care.
